Hello Sisters (and any Brothers reading this too),
Thank you, Michelle, for opening this place of fellowship to me. I pray I may be a source of blessing, as well as receive one here.
I'm 40+ and holding (tightly)...mother of 3, wife of 1.
My firstborn is 23 years old, married with a baby on the way. That means I'll be Grammi Tami in about 2 months! Please remember our dear son Dan and his wife (my new daughter in love) Mary--they need Jesus!
My first daughter is Jessie; 14 years old, very much a lady, but a practical one who strives to be a Titus 2 young lady. She knows the Lord & displays the fruit of the Spirit in a very real way. Jessie loves to cook, is teaching herself (by God's grace) to sew, is learning the keyboard (her daddy is her teacher), and loves to read and write. She also enjoys math and will be a great little book-keeper for her DH some day! She is in 9th grade in our home school.
My second daughter is Rebecca; 10 years old, and a young lady with lots of energy and love to share. She also reaches to be a Titus 2 young lady, who loves Jesus with all her heart and shows it in daily life. Becky is learning to cook, not much of a seamstress (like her mama), is learning guitar (from me), and loves to draw, read and write. She is in 5th grade in our home school.
To earn our daily bread, my DH is an accountant for a small firm in the hills here. As his vocation, he is called to be a preacher & teacher of God's Word. He is director of our national prison ministry, Christ is King Ministries. We work together to write/edit/publish a bi-monthly newsletter ("Free Indeed!"), and small Bible study booklets (Starting Point Booklets). These all cover Bible doctrine, warnings against false teaching and daily Christian living. We are rather a Priscilla & Aquila ministry; because I assist him in the work--but he is definitely the elder & leader.
We've been married 27 years in April. God has been merciful to us--we were believers when first married, but very immature in doctrine & life. Christ has been training us and given us a strong, loving marriage. Praise God forever!
My personal interests--beside my greatest love Jesus Christ and my beloved family and the prison ministry--include bird watching, beachcombing, horses, watching sunsets, reading good mysteries and other great books, writing, listening to excellent Christian music & singing praises to the Lord with my family.
