Hello, ladies! My name is Amanda, and I'm a wife of 7 1/2 years to Andy, the love of my life. We have three beautiful daughters, Naomi is 6, Emily is 4, and Grace is 8 months old. We live in the beautiful and frightfully chilly (at least at the moment) up north Michigan. We had a week of spring recently, and then a blizzard. I'm a stay at home mom, and also a student. I'm working on a degree in criminal justice (online). I love to cook and bake, sew, knit, craft, paint, draw, read, and pretty much all the things a good wife should do ~ except housework. I've been having a hard time with the last one, especially since Grace came along. God is absolutely the center of our lives, and I'm intent on making my home a house of worship. Recently, I had the honor of hearing a wonderful lady speak who posed the question, "does your home make the angels feel welcome, or are they having a hard time hanging around?". I want my home to have an environment fit for the heavenly hosts! I can't wait to meet you all!

I have heard that before, but it was "Would Jesus feel comfortable in your home". It's really a good way to stay right. Keeping your mind & heart on the coming of our Lord, we wouldn't do anything to shame Him. I want to make my home a haven for my husband and daughter. A place of comfort and relaxation, & refuge for the both of them. I don't want them to like anywhere better than home. And my husband would rather stay at home on this vacation than go anywhere. I know what you mean about housework, but I had to make me a schedule, and it really helps. It also helps that I have a teenage daughter to pitch in too. It's really fun teaching her things that she will need to know when she gets married. She is already wanting to start a hope chest. So, we are going to start on her first quilt this summer. So much fun. ;D
