Howdy! I'm Jessica. I am from Louisiana but living in Washington state right now, just until July though. We are military about to get out and go home. I've been married 7 years since last sunday and my birthday is coming up on the 21st! I'll be 27. I have 2 step sons, although i dislike that description. Austin is 9 and has lived with us for almost 7 years. Lyndon would be 7 but he passed away almost 4 years ago. We have tried to have a baby for a long time and have stopped and will be adopting a baby as soon as they match us with a birth mom. We are strongly considering homeschooling but i'm confused and can't decide which cirriculum to buy!!! I enjoy sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, crocheting, gardening and a ton of other things. I help teach a sunday school class and work with masters club and of course in the nursery at church. Well that's me, or all i can think of right now.

Jessica,
Welcome!!! My father was in the military, so I can relate to all of the moving around. My dad didn't retire till I was in high school. It was nice to finally settle down. I am now 33 and have been married to my preacher husband for 13 years. I have a teenage daughter. We have also tried for years to have another child, but haven't yet. My pastor like to pick on me and tell me I'm going to be another Sarah. LOL. WE are also looking to adopt a baby boy. I am so excited. It's been so long since I've had a baby, I just don't know what I am going to do. I pray you will get a wonderful baby.
I have used many curriculum's with my daughters home school. I like Bob Jones the best!! They are alittle bit more on the pricey side, but it's worth it. Since Bri is in middle school, I have the DVD lessons. The teachers are very knowledgeable. In the books & DVD's all the kids are dressed right. Even in a picture of them tubing down a river, all the girls had dark T's on & culottes. All the boys had long pants. I have also used Abeka & ACE. ACE is my least fav. All they do is memorize answers, and are not really learning anything. There are acouple more out there that are good. I would just check out all there sites & request as much info as you can. Sometimes it just takes using them for a year. And if you don't like it, try a different one.
