Hello Everyone, How is everyone doing? I am new here, as you can see. But I am so happy to be here! Um, A little about me. . . . I am 21 I will be 22 Aug 5th. I have two DDs Ivy and Paige they are 2&1 Soon to be 3&2. They keep me very active! I have been looking for some support to keep me on track with the day to day life of being a stay at home mom. I live in KS, away from my family. DH works a lot, so I have found some support on-line. Um, well there is a lot more about me, but I don't know what to put on here. I love Jelly beans! I have been married for 3 years (08/30/2003) I hope to go back to school really soon and maybe one day be a social worker. If you have any questions just ask. I really like it here already! Destiny

It's nice to meet you Destiny. My name is Denice, I'm 39 this month, am married 19 years and have three growing sons, 14, 12 and 11. I've been a stay at home mom through most of their lives and have never regretted it. I worked outside here and there at night when DH was home, but have recommitted myself to home again and again knowing that is where I am supposed to be. Everything flows as it should when I am home. God's will for sure. Do you bake with your girls yet? Homemade bread is always a fun one that can be messy but always comes out good and tastes sooo good. Glad to meet you and hope we can chat more soon. Denice

Hello Denice, I have had a hard time getting used to being at home all the time. But I am doing it. I love it. We have not started to bake yet. I worry about them getting hurt in the kitchen. I am still very new to this, being a mom, staying home, and even at times I think I am so new to hearing God that I am still learning what his will is. I guess we all look to find what his will is. Thank you for everything I think we will try home made bread soon. As soon as I teach them to was the dishes. . LOL. Thank you, Destiny

Welcome Destiny & Denise. I love to bake (made 3 loafs of banana nut bread last night). My daughter does too. Destiny, you shouldn't worry about your girls getting hurt. The pampered chef has an inexpensive child's knife, works very well, and it doesn't cut your child.
I have only been a sahm for about 2 years. I have always worked outside of the home. When my husband surrendered to preach, he wanted me to stay at home with my daughter (13). I love it!!!!! I have learned so many different things, now that I have time to do those things. I made my daughters Easter dress, and everyone loved it. I am still working on learning how to knit.
And to find God's will, all you have to do is open your bible. You CAN'T separate the Word of God from the Will of God. And his will concerning motherhood & wife hood is to be a "Keeper AT Home". A study of Proverbs 31 is a great place to get a good picture of Gods will for wifes & mothers. That banana nut bread I made was for some of my husbands co-workers that buy my bread. The Proverbs 31 women bought a vineyard & worked it with her own hands (she was an entrepreneur).
Keep those girls involved in cooking, cleaning, etc. A neat way to let them help is to make place mats out of old shelf liner, or wall paper. Trace out onto the mats where the plates go, the silver ware, cups, etc.... this way they can set the table & know where everything goes. For more personalized mats, you can put pictures (of anything) on the sticky side of the shelf liner & a clear piece of shelf liner or contact paper on top, then trace your items on there.

juanitalynn, I love the place mat Idea. DH's Grandma sends a card for EVERYTHING, and we are saving them up, then we will place then on clear contact paper, and make place mats out of that. I think this will make a very good project for our "class time" Tomarrow, or later this week. I did not know that there was a knife safe for children. Kind of seems odd, Knives and children just don't normaly go along. LOL. I think we have some playdoh knives and things like that. I want ONE good cooking Idea for "class time" Does anyone have something for 2 yr olds? Easy, and not to messy? I am sure this should be posted some other place. But anyway Thank you very much for the ideas!

Welcome Destiny,
My name is Tina and I too am new here. I have 3 children Jessica 8, Patrick 3, and Christian 1. My dh and I have been married 12 years this month. We know that it is God's will for me to stay home and we are very close to achieving that goal. So close that it is extremely frustrating that we're not there yet. Another lesson that God is teaching us is patience - everything happens in his time. I have been working with Jessica in the kitchen since she was 1 1/2 years old. I used to let her stand on the step stool and wash clean plastic bowls in luke warm water - that was the only way I could get dinner made.

LOL, I let Ivy help with the dishes too, Only she makes more of a mess then she cleans! LOL, spending an hour on the same dish, and splashing water all over the place. It helps me clean a little but she stands right next to the oven, so I cannot really cook with her in there. But I think we will start doing that more. I have felt that God was calling me to work with children for a very long time. I want to stay home with my children now when they are young, and I want to spend as much time with them as I can. Once they start school I want to start a job that I can work when they are at school. Social work is not always the best work, but I really feel God is calling me to that, and has been for some time. I just did not see the path to get there untill now. I am so happy to get to stay home with my girls.
