Welcome!
You are not alone in this being your first forum. It not only is my first but also the only one I've ever been a part of.
I pray your time here will be a blessing to you!

Hi mommaking23. How special that this is your first forum. It has such nice features for you to enjoy. (Don't forget to set your bookmark preferences and bookmark posts, you will know when people post after you.)
I got approved around the same time as you I think. It was a big shopping day for me. Being in Australia it is morning now.
I hope you enjoy this board for many years to come.

Thank you for the warm welcome!! I am near Lynchburg, VA. I've lived here about 16 years now. I'm originally from NY, but now you couldn't get me to move from the south!! LOL

You being from NY and after moving to the south - loving it, reminds me of some friends of mine.
We have a relative that lives in New Jersey (just 20 min. outside New York City) and can't understand why anyone would ever want to live in the country, much less the south and he's never visited the country OR the south. Then we have friends who moved to the south from New Jersey more than a decade ago and like you, they also say they can't imagine ever leaving ... tb

I moved here when I was 15 and my dad still won't even consider moving back north!! =) My husband is from the south and refused for years to ever go up to "the city" as he called NY. According to him, all of NY was "the city" even though where I'm from is pure country! He was sent to NY last year for work, so he HAD to go. He loved it. Finally figured out it was a lot like the countryside down here. It was funny.
