My children picked some daffodils for me. They smell so good. I am so glad to finally have the flowers up and growing

it's great to see the daffodils coming up! i need to get some of them in my yard for next spring. i am not great with flowers--would you plant the bulbs in the fall?

As far as I know you plant flowering bulbs in the fall, but not positive.

you plant daffs,tulips,alluims,crocuses, anything that will come up very early spring in the fall... since i know most of the ladies here live in the US and I am in Canada but i do know quite a bit about gardening as i worked in a Garden Centre/Nursery where we sold flowers before becoming a SAHM ... if anyone has a question just ask ..

Yes, I too believe one plants tulips, crocuses... in the fall. Far up north we had trouble with the deer eating the flowers off the tulips. BUT they would not eat the Daffs', so we mostly planted them. My step-mum plants crocuses in her lawn, because they come up before the lawn needs mowing - and are finished when it's time to mow. She puts them in pattern and/or color. (ie: circles, squares...) This works out perfectly where they live.
