I don't remember for certain, but I though that Brother Brown had done some trucking? My husband is driving a flatbed right now, and I was wondering if you knew of any God-honoring gift ideas for him. He spends a LOT of time parked, waiting for them to unload and load his trailer. He brings his Bible with him. Any suggestions for a gift he'd really appreciate?

Yes you are correct. My DH has his CDL and drove truck for a while. We talked about an MP3 player for him as there are alot of websites that you can download sermons for free. Just a thought.

Oh gracious, aren't those expensive though? I guess I should have said God-honoring, inexpensive, masculine gift ideas, hunh? **giggles** We just don't have much. I was wondering about books he could read while sitting there. He enjoys listening to the Christian radio stations while driving, but it's the sitting there waiting to be unloaded and loaded that gives him a LOT of thumb-twiddling time.

You can pick up an MP3 player at walmart for around 20 bucks. I do not really know of any thing masculine for a trucker. DH said knives and weapons are illegal for truckers to carry with them. DH likes knives so I would get him a new one if we had the money. So for not having any good suggestions.

Something I read about on another board I am on is a "love journal" you can buy a notebook and put in there verses, poems, write things to your husband about why you love him, how he is such a great leader in your home, maybe A-Z attributes your DH has that you love about him ex: A-affectionate, B-Belief in Christ etc.
You can always add to the journal when he is home so he has something to look forward to while he is away in his spare time.
