Hi Everyone!
I am Anne from Alaska. Until recently I have been single mom to a 7 year old boy. Now that I am not single, and my son is getting older I realize there are many things I need to learn about being a wife and mom that I have never been shown (my parents passed when I was quite young and I was raised in foster homes). I stumbled upon this site and feel so blessed. I have learned so much! I don't think I will have much to contribute, but am cherishing the info. I am finding. My biggest problems seem to be child rearing and submission - any tips you would like to share would be most welcome.
Thanks! (also, the username I applied for is seekingtruth, but this forum won't let me post with that, so I changed it until I have approval.)

Hello Anne,
It is so nice to have you join us. Bettyjo, another one of our Keeper Sisters, is also from Alaska!
I can relate to your situation in that for several years I, too, was a single mom. Adjusting to the submission of marriage when you've been the "head of household" for years can be challenging at times. A few years ago I read "Created To Be His Helpmeet" and it completely reformed my perspective of submission. It helped me realize that God gives us the gift of husbands for our protection, security, and guidance. Once this realization came true within my heart, submitting became easier.
I pray the sharing of experiences from the ladies here at Keeper Sisters will bless you and enrich your life.
