Well, I thought I'd just peer in like a fly on the wall but God is leading me to get involved. I am hoping your website will provide the mentoring I need to be the wife and mother I am supposed to be in God's eyes. I really know nothing about where this website originates or from whom but the content is giving me the encouragement I need.

Hi Pollyelizabeth,
Glad you popped in. I hope you will be blessed by this site. I have received a great amount of encouragement from the ladies on this site. Often times just knowing that there are others out there trying to honor their husbands and love their children, despite what the rest of the world advises, brings great comfort to me on the "difficult" days.
I look forward to seeing you around ... tb

Thank you! I look forward to learning and being encouraged. I feel like I live in a very main-stream world but I'm learning that's not the right path. The Lord has really been speaking to me this week on being a Godly wife. It sounds terrible but I can't believe I've never picked up on this before -the importance of it.

Pollyelizabeth,
Please don't criticize yourself for living a "mainstream" Christian life. Many of us have been there ourselves. As we study the Word of God and grow in truth, the Lord changes us to become the person He created us to be.
Most Christians who are serious about their spiritual growth eventually move away from the "mainstream" and begin taking steps toward living the lifestyle God has called them to. As we grow, the Lord reveals more of Himself and His desires for our lives. Because we love the Lord and desire to serve Him and glorify Him, as our minds are renewed and we gradually make changes. The "old" man falls away the new creature created in and by Christ emerges.
Ephesians 1: 17-20
That the God of your Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory; may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eye of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.

TB is right. As long as your walk with Christ is progressing, it's not necessarily a bad thing to be mainstream--it's better than not being a Christian at all! Not that we stay stagnant, but are comfortable with how the Lord is leading us. He is faithful to bring us into a deeper walk with Him, and as a result, we start enjoying less and less of what we did before, and more and more of Him.
You're doing great, PollyElizabeth!
