After being admitted to the hospital at 10:30 am on June 22nd in the morning for observation Benaiah decided that June 22nd was a great day for a birthday. After a very interesting labor and scary delivery we are home and doing well.
He was born with the cord arround his neck. His heart dropped very low and the dr assisted me with pushing. I don't remember much right after he was born. I didn't see him when they lifted him up. But he cried right away and proceded to pee on my stomach. His blue head has turned red and as my dh says he is Bob the tomato with hair. Benaiah was 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches long. He arrived at 5:45 pm. I labored by myself to 6 cm so dh could be in church( I didn't really think I was in labor). So dh was only there for about 1 hour.
My dr was awesome. He has been a dr for 27 yrs and given the fact that he worked when Ukraine was still soviet was amazing that he let me labor and deliver in any position I wanted(unheard of here).

How wonderful is our God! In the face of so many complications and worries He still provides and knew how it was going to turn out all along. Congratulations on your new baby boy. God bless you all. Lana

YA HOO!!! I am so happy to hear that Benaiah arrived safe and healthy. With all the complications you've experienced and he still weighed in at more than 7lbs. What a wonderful testimony!
Laboring by yourself for 6 hours? What a pillar of strength! I am so impressed. Even though I labored 4 of mine without medication (#5 ended up being a planned c-section), I am still a big a sissy and fraidy cat when it comes to any kind of medical procedure. I absolutely do not think I would have been able to do it without someone there to encourage me and intervene on my behalf if it had become necessary.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
(OH! right now I wish I knew how to download those wonderful banners and such that Keeperofthehome so often does).
