Have any of you ever made a slipcover? We received a beautiful sofa as a wedding gift from my parents, and I want to keep it nice. With 2 dogs, I figure that a washable slipcover would be the best way to keep it clean. (The dogs aren't allowed on the furniture, but the hair tends to creep onto it somehow.) I've never undertaken such a large project, so any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!

Maybe you can try this: slipcover.vrya.net/Also, I have found some very helpful books on sewing just such a thing in my local library. Hope that can help you.

Thanks for the link. It looks like a very complicated process for a beginner like me, but it's worth a shot. =)

Sometimes you can find a Tech school or class at high school that will do it under the supervision of an instructor for a lot less money....we have a great one here in our area. You might want to check it out.
