I'm not sure where to put this on the boards so forgive me if its in the wrong place. What is meekness, and humility? I know I am supposed to strive to be meek and humble as Jesus was. But I am not sure what exactly they mean or how to do that. I've read the definition of them, but can you explain to me in your words, what is meekness, and humility, or humbleness?

To me meekness and humility means to be submissive to God's Word in attitude and in deed. Like Jesus was.
Jesus never set out to draw attention to himself. He never became "puffed up". He never judged others as man judges. Instead EVERYTHING He did was to bring attention and glory to God the Father.
He was the King of all our universe. He did not choose to come in splendor and glory. He chose to come in humility as a helpless baby. At the time of His birth Mary and Joseph were temporarily homeless - he was born in a barn and Mary used a feed trough as bassinet.
Throughout His public ministry He lived as a homeless person. He treated EVERYONE the same. It didn't matter if they were rich, poor, criminal, ill, lame, a societal outcast, etc. He showed everyone compassion and consistently strove to point them to God the Father.
During His last hours, He cried out to God the Father for mercy because He knew what kind of torture awaited Him. He knew the despair He would feel when God the Father would have to turn away from Him because He would literally become our sin. However, in the end He chose to obey and submit to the will of the Father. He endured one of the most painful, degrading, and torturous deaths so OUR sins could be forgiven.
Humility and meekness does not cower when the true cost to self is realized. Instead, it puts others first so that they can have the opportunity to experience a relationship with God.
I hope this helps bring some clarity to your study.
