I have to share this because I thought it was pretty thrifty and "green".
I have always diapered my children in cloth diaper. But, after using hand me downs on 6 little behinds they fell apart beyond repair. So, #7 was in need of new ones. I bought 2 packs of Gerber diapers, one prefolded and one flat. After the first washing they were terrible! Seams falling apart and pilling all over. (I sent them back to Gerber and was refunded my $$) In the meantime, our church gets donations from all sorts and we were given old hospital nursery receiving blankets. LOTS of them! I put my creative mind to use. Using a pattern that looks somewhat like a chopped off triangle, I made dozens of diapers out of these blankets. For the padding on the inside, I bought a thick flannel sheet at the thrift store for less than $3. ( I'd post pictures but, I still can't get it to work for me.) So, now my little one is sitting comfy in soft flannel diapers!

How smart are you!!! That is terrific. Question....since they are flannel and blanket material, do you find that your baby gets too warm in them? Jut curious.
