Someone on PH posted this & it really sounds good...I wanted to pass it on....Banana Jam
5 ripe bananas peeled & mashed 5 cups water 4 Tablesthingys lemon juice 1 Tablesthingy butter (opt) 1 pkg. Sure Jell 5 cups sugar Few drops yellow food coloring (opt(
Peel & liquefy bananas in blender or food processor. Pour into measuring cup & add water..stir in lemon juice & pour into heavy pan. Stir in Sure Jell &and add butter (opt) & bring to a full boil for 1min. Stir in food coloring (opt) skim if needed then fill clean jars winth in 1/2" from top. Put on lids & put into a hot water bath for 10 min. Makes about 7 glasses. Great for sandwiches & ice cream toppings.

On the Sure Jell, do I assume correctly it means the powdered pectin or can you use liquid?
