It's quiet around here, so can I assume that everyone is busy with family & Thanksgiving preparations? I did some of my grocery shopping the other day, so we have pretty much everything to get Thanksgiving on the table.
I have also been working on getting our Christmas gift basket items made. We are doing jellies, cookie, breads and such. Unlike knick knack gifts, this will be a good little treat that won't take up space or need a place to put it.
Looking forward to hearing from someone. Have a bessed day;

Life has been busy around here but now that the co-op has ended their semester we can now get caught up on some other things.
We are having Thanksgiving dinner at my dad's house and he said that we don't need to bring anything.
DH would like to have Christmas dinner here. Usually we do it at a friend's house but this year DH wants to have it at our house where there is plenty of room for everyone. I don't know what we are going to have because money is extremely tight.
God will provide, I am sure of it. I'm not big on huge dinners even when I don't have to cook them. I always feel so guilty seeing all that food sitting on the table, knowing that there are people who can't even afford to feed themselves anything.
One of these years I would like to be able to convince DH to actually work the food banks, homeless shelters, or something along that line all throughout the year. Maybe when the kids are older. I know that he doesn't want the kids and I to go without him for safety reasons.
I too would love to hear from someone.

Hi, I'm checking in here on the day after Thanksgiving. I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. My Thanksgiving was a quiet low key one. I had a plate of food and too much delicious apple pie and spent the rest of the day reading inspirational blogs and watching the weather change from warm and sunny to pretty crisp. It almost reached freezing last night.
My Christmas plans are to make some cookies. I was given a cookie press two years ago and have never used it. It is in great shape and perhaps has never been used at all. It has several plates of different shaped holes. I've never used a cookie press before. You should see the little cookbooklet that came with it, we're talking about the 1950's. But the ingredients are the same as I have now. I see I can even make cheese sticks with it. So that will be an adventure.
As for me, it will be a mincemeat pie made with Nonsuch Mincemeat you buy in the jar. It's my favorite holiday pie. I just make one because nobody I know likes it. Actually most people I know have never tried it but are put off by the name.
Well, I guess that's me in a nutshell at this time. Thankfully my pets are alright. I am praying that the new year will include some prosperity for us and bring about a better feeling of security and stability for everyone. I pray the news is more positive and all the military people can come home safely. Thank you very much for this wonderful website. Kathleen.
