I thought we could maybe help each other out by talking about what are tried and true cleaning tools & products. Also let each other know any duds we come across.

A cleaning tool I totally love and don't know what I did before I got one is a swivel sweeper. They are sold on infomercials and I was leery of how it would work but oh my goodness I love mine. It gets up all the hair and hard to get duust and crumbs I rum mune like 4 times per day. That is when I can get my kids off of it LOL !! Getting this chore done is no chore at all. The children love using it.

I also love cleaning wipes. My favorite ones are actually from the dollar store they are the knock offs of the clorox wipes but I like the Doolar General Store ones better. I buy the lemon scented ones they smell so clean to me. I usually keep some of these in the diaper bag so that way I can wipe down shopping carts or diaper changing tables when we are out and about. Some of the stores don't have the cleaning wipes or they are out and the diaper changing tables are just breeeding germs lol.
I also love hand sanitizer. I keep some on my purse and some in the diaper bag. I think it is a great invention.
Another one of my favorites is scrubbing bubbles spray to clean the bathtub with it works so good !
I just wanted to add that I will probably have typos on every post I make lol ! My almost 2 year old daughter loves to help me do everything.

Vinegar.
I know it's not a gadget, but it sanitizes like bleach, and is totally safe for little kids and expectant moms.
My favourite actual gadget has to be the dishwasher rack from Munchkin that holds baby bottle nipples. It changed my life, lol!

The swiffer duster has turned out to be a fabulous cleaning tool for our home. Our living room furniture is dark stained mango wood; beautiful, BUT shows dust way too easily. The swiffer duster has been a great tool for quick "touch up" dusting between weekly polishings.
For the past 20 years my children have been dusting for me because in the past whenever I dusted, no matter how light the dust was, a horrific sneezing attack would ensue (like non-stop sneezing for an hour or more, causing watering eyes, sore chest mussels, scratchy throat, etc.) The dust really clings to the swiffer so it doesn't "float" around in the air. Thus, even I can use the swiffer.
We've tried the store brand swiffer refills, but have found the actual Swiffer brand works best on our dark furniture.

Oh my goodness I love vinegar and all it's wonderful uses. I love to use it to clean the toilet bowl. Just pour some in there and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutesand it will clean up so effortlessly !!! Plus it's great on windows and mirrors. I use newspaper to clean them with to help them really sparkle.

I'd love to get one of those swiffers with the long handle that bends over for dusting fans. (Not sure if that's the regular swiffer duster or something else.) We just installed ceiling fans in the addition, but the ceiling is a foot taller than in the old part of the house, and I can't reach just by standing on a chair.

Oh I love toothbrushes for cleaning all sorts of things. I also really want one of those swiffer dusters. I bought I a knock off one and couldn't get it to stay on the handle Sometimes you just get what you pay for. Does anyone have a steam mop? I really want one but am looking for reccomendations.
