My DH and I have tried MOTH and it just doesn't work here. I have 12 children and would like a schedule or rutine. WHAT ELSe is there?

I have 8 and that is the only thing that works.
I really think it takes time to implement and get all the quirks worked out.

I've never heard of MOTH, but I agree with Sister Michelle - a schedule is a must for a smooth running household. As the years have progressed, I've learned that extremly strict schedules do not work for our family. However, a schedule as a guideline prevents all sorts of chaos and keeps things running pretty smoothly around here. Since we live on a farm and have a LOT of work to do, in addition to homeschool, everyone is assigned spefific tasks. I've sort of become the "manager" who follows up on everyone's progress between my own tasks. Keep searching & trying, the Lord will bring a routine that will be a good fit for your family.

I have 4 children and we have to keep a schedule or we end up chasing our tails all day, we're exhausted at the end of the day, and we have nothing to show for it.
I created a chore chart for everyone (including mom) on an excel spreadsheet for an entire month. It seems to work well, because the children can look at what needs to be done without me telling them. I just have to remind them "Did you look at the chore chart"? We try to do as many chores as a family at the same time. Then we start school work.
