... Children to Cook?
I am currently teaching our younger children, ages 11 & 14. All my children have started our with the Better Homes and Gardens New Junior Cookbook. It contains not only the ingredients and cooking directions but all lists all the equipment needed for each recipe. My mother received this cookbook as a Tupperware party hostess gift. I began cooking at age 8 using this very same cookbook.
Our older boys are aged 23 - 29, unmarried and save a TON of money by avoiding restaurants and cooking at home.

Not yet, but it's in the master plan!
My best and only accomplishment so far was getting them to make "Christmas trees" this year with upside-down ice cream cones and green frosting. I thought it would be a disaster, but it actually wasn't that bad. The boys were pretty good at spreading the frosting, and then had fun decorating the trees with M&M's for ornaments. I'm emboldened to do more in that line after Next Baby has been here for a while.

Yes! We start our children out very early. When I keep up with the chore chart, each child has to take their turn at making meals. In my family a child has to be able to put a complete nutritious supper on the table for the entire family, all by themselves, by the age of 13.
I informed my 14 yo that one day soon she will have to plan a complete meal, I will drive her to the store and give her cash, (I will stay in the car) she will have to go into the store and purchase everything for that meal, cook the meal and get it onto the table.
