I was just tickled pink when I checked my email today! I received a request/reminder of this forum. I had completely forgotten about it in the last 3 years due to a major move and family shift. But, I've noticed that there hasn't been much activity since I left. I would love to catch up on some of the older members as well as the newer ones.
Let me fill you in on what's happening here.
We (being military) moved to KS where we will stay now. My husband is officially retiring July 3. We have been blessed with 8 children ages 16 thru 4. God has richly blessed us in so many ways. I am ever so constantly busy with housework, gardening and now farming. My children are homeschooled and must help with their daily duties. Last year, I had a brainstorm of running a produce stand from the farm and that is growing in leaps and bounds! I love sewing and reading. I also enjoy learning new things from others which is where this site is so extremely helpful! TB how are you doing?

First off let me say I am so thankful for those who have responded. I do not have Internet at home so everything is done through my phone. And I have an app for this forum!!! Yippee. I also discovered a way to email all the members here. So neat to see the activity here again. My family has moved to upper lower peninsula michigan. We love it up here. My husband is no longer pastors g but is active in the church we are members of. We are living in a subdivision so I have yet to do a garden I miss it terribly. Learning to be content with close neighbors. Which is not my cup of tea. We also no longer have outdoor animals. Currently we have a chinchilla and a turtle for pets Have 8 children ages 15-3. Love homeschooling them. We have a blast. We are focussing on character and life skills since we do not have animals or garden to keep us busy And a HUGE thank you to those members who have kept activity in this board!!!

Hello All,
Sister Michelle - thank you for the e-mail, it was wonderful to check in today and see that so many ladies had logged in.
Some may remember that we moved from southeast Texas the Montana prairie two years ago. We really enjoy our new home and community. We've planted two large garden plots. We've restocked ourselves with chickens. And we are now in the process of installing/repairing fence for goats. We continue to home school the two youngest left at home and they are involved in several outside activities.
Although I keep a very busy schedule and we've made several new friends here in Montana, I look forward to more activity on the forum. I've always enjoyed Keeper Sisters and hope it becomes active again.
Blessings, tb

I was thrilled too when I saw the email from this forum, I stumbled on it several years ago when I was just trying to learn how to be a Titus 2 woman and it so helped me to know that there were other ladies that I could learn from and reach out to for advice!!
We have 2 boys who are 12 (almost 13) and 10 years old, i am the only female in my home, so this it's wonderful to me to have ladies, even though it's on the computer, you are still real and breathing and like minded! My husband is a preacher, he pastored for 4 1/2 years and in January the burden to pastor that church was taken, we are back at our home church now, not sitting on the bench, but working in any way that we are needed...we are really trying to help our pastor and his wife, I think that we understand more what they face now more than we ever did before! our boys are home schooled and I am thankful that we are out for the summer!!! we don't have a huge garden, but we have a small raised bed that I have prayed over, I hope it will give us lots and lots of veggies!! I hope this forum will take off again, I have so enjoyed it in the past!! LL

It was nice to get a reminder about this board. My little ones are all grown, so now I have time to do some of the things that had to be put on hold for a time as I worked outside of the home. A large garden, indoor and outdoor animals and walks in the woods ...NOT in snake and bear weather however. Glad to see everyone back..Karoline

I was looking through my email account today and found the reminder. Oh my, I can't believe I forgot about that forum! I've not got 2 teens that I'm homeschooling but we are changing things up this year and they will be schooling through Abeka with the classes on dvd. I'm truly a bit burned out and with 2 in high school, I didn't want there to be any gaps. My oldest, who will be in 11th grade this year will already have some gaps in math that we will have to make up in an extra year. :0( But we're doing our best.
This is the first year in forever that I don't have a garden. My asthma just won't let me be outside. I also only have 2 little hens for the first time in forever - down from about 45. The garden I can deal with losing but it does make me sad to lose my big flock of chickens. I do love keeping them so.
We have recently started home churching with a few other families. It's still very new and we're just getting used to it. But we have really enjoyed worshiping with them so far.
Again, thanks for sending out the reminder ~ I really appreciate it!

Hello ...
I'd love to hear more about home church. 2 years ago we moved to a VERY small community & home church is something I've become interested in exploring.
Thanks, tb
