DD1 is not living with us now..long story so it's just us three....and with DD2 schedule...into Honor Choir, All State Choir and Children's Musical Theather it's hard to actually plan certain meals so on days I know will be hectic I use the crockpot otherwise I try to prepare something else....since weather is cold DH likes soups etc so it makes it easier..he does like to eat out alot which I don't...being diabetic it makes it harder on me.

With DD2 schedule it's hard to plan much and DH has been wanting to "grab a bite" here & yon..I don't like to do that but try to abide by his wishes... I'll have meatloaf, mashed sweet potatoes, & green beans for tonight....hopefully that will please his restlessness....

I thought rutabaga and turnip were pretty much the same thing. But maybe that's just a matter of opinion, like sweet potatoes and yams. lol

Hi Jalynn,
Jen is correct. Rutabaga is VERY similar to turnip. I would suggest preparing just the same as you would your favorite turnip recipe.
Blessings, tb
