A few years ago a friend of mine used CareCalendar.org to coordinate helpers for her sister while she was obtaining cancer treatments. Recently our pastor and his wife experienced a season of health issues and were in need of meals, childcare and yard work. I remembered CareCalendar.org and logged in, set up a care calendar for them and coordinated help from our church and community. Using it first hand as the coordinator, I found it to be an AWESOME tool. It is an e-mail based system that saved me hours of telephone calls and it had a place on the calendar where I could post updates again freeing me up to manage my busy farm life. Best of all CareCalendar.org is operated by a homeschooling family (the Bortels) and is funded by donations. They do not require any set up fees, monthly user fees, etc. If you or anyone you know is experiencing a life crisis, visit www.CareCalendar.org and check out this wonderful ministry tool. Sorry if this sounds like an advertisement - I just want to spread the word so others with busy schedules like me can help others in the name of Christ. TB
