Tb, You were wondering about the Tightwad Gazette. It was once a newsletter type publication mailed to subscribers that gave great money-saving ideas and "unofficial, unscientific" analysis of products like bread machines. The author has since stopped the mailouts and combined the newsletters into 3 books or so. You could probably find them in the library. I found mine in the thrift store: two volumes. The author had six children and gives some common sense advice and some not so common advice as well as amusement and recycling projects. I think you might like to browse through them some time.

I have checked out hte Tightwad Gazette at our old library. It was so fun to read. I learned some and was refreshed on some things I already knew. Great read if I can give my opinion.

I loved the first two books! I have yet to read the third one, however. I can't wait! (I tried the Lentil-Rice casserole from one of the books and.... YUM!
