I am having trouble with all of my whites turning beige. We have very high iron and I was wondering if there is anything that I can do to keep my whites white.

have you tried using baking soda in the load?
I know that during my cosmetology days, we would put baking soda in the shampoo, and it would keep the hair from turning 'copper' from the ironized water.

Hi, Ronda here, I have bad iron in my well water also. We tried everything. nothing really helped well enough or long term, except we went to Lowe's and got an whole house filter system and my husband put it on the main line that comes in from the well, BEFORE it goes into the holding tank. We spent about $30 or so for the filter system and then chose a filter that removes iron and most everything else. The filter cost's $20, and we change it 4 X's a year. This has stopped just about all the iron from bleeding thru my system or into the washer. Thus saving me $ during washing clothes 'cause I am not buying extra products to remove the iron, and I'm not replacing clothing-esp-whites.
Hope this helps. Love & Prayers, Ronda
