I have never found a good way to get the yellow stains from a breastfeed babies poop out of clothing. If any of you have an idea I would appreciate it. Deborah has ruined her coming home outfit and I would really like to get the stain out.

Dear Sister Michelle,
Someone else might have a better idea than me, but here is what I do.
I immediately rinse the stain in cold water. If I can't wash the clothing right away, then I let it continue soaking in water. Then I apply "Shout" on the stain and let it set for at least one hour or as long as overnight. I then wash it in warm or even hot water with other laundry. I have found that I can usually remove older stains this way also, but the "Shout" must set all night.
Another helpful tool is a bleach pen. My husband bought one and I thought it would be a waste of money because a jug of bleach is much cheaper. But I tried it and it works great. I have taken some clothes that had old stains from years ago and I was able to get them out with this. It removes stains from whites obviously, but I have even been able to clean items that are white with colored designs on them. Experiment with clothing that is ruined anyway.
Your sister in Christ, Debbie

I will have to try this. It seems as if a babies goal in life is to leave her clothes unusable for the next child.

Hi, Ronda here. Try this mixture. I learned this when I worked for the local Dry Cleaners here in Asheville.
Mix together in this order:
1/8 cup Ammonia 1/8 cup liquid (NON bleach added)Detergent- any kind 1 1/2 cups water.
Swish together gently, pour into a CLEAN spray bottle/ squirt bottle and then saturate the stain. Let set for several hours or even over night. Then launder in the hottest water possible as usual. DO NOT PUT INTO DRYER UNTIL STAIN IS OBVIOUSLY REMOVED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Do not use this mixture on silks, they are far to delicate for ammonia. I use this mixture daily as my version of stains pre-treater/remover. This will remove blood stains from undies etc. The cleaners i worked for used this on any type of stain, for items that were going into the washing machine.
DO NOT USE THIS ON DRY CLEAN ONLY FABRIC'S. WHEN DRY CLEANED IT WILL RUIN THE MATERIAL. Love & Prayers, Ronda. PS. after cleaning , while wet, take garnment outside and lay it on the grass to dry. The oxygen from the grass is also a natural whitener. I do this with ALL my antique doilies, handkies , linens, anything.

I make something similar only mine has
1 cup of ammonia 1 cup of white vinegar 1 laundry cup of detergent
put in a spray bottle and shake each time before you use it. It once got tar out of my mother's van carpet. Hugs

Here is an easy. cheap and safe way to the stains out. Im my opinion mixing ammonia with anything is foolish.
All you need is Meat Tenderizer. You can buy what ever kind is on sale. It is sold in the same place as spices are in the grocery. You need the WHITE kind.
Put the entire container into your washer with hot water. ( run the water in your washer first) let it agatate a few times to get mixed and disolved. Add your clothing. ( if you can not wash the clothes in hot water, let the water cool) leave over night, spin the water out and wash as usual. I did this all the time with my cloth diapers. Works like a charm every single time!
