I am so excited and thankful. Several months ago my little #5 ran up to my sewing machine and yanked on the bobbin thread - messing up the bobbin tension. I worked for several hours trying to get it all back in line with no success. Anyhow, this morning I decided to give the repairs one more try before hunting for a repair shop (my machine is a 1954 Kenworth & finding a shop that works on machines that old is not an easy task). Praise be to the Lord - only 2 or 3 tiny turns with the screwdriver and it's sewing beautifully!
I've mended several articles of clothing, a table cloth and a bed sheet this morning. I am so very excited about having my machine in working order in time for Christmas projects ... tb

TB ~ that is a great blessing and a financial one at that...no out of pocket repair fees! It is handy to have a machine for those mending jobs as well as craft projects. Unfortunately I am guilty of not using my machine enough.

I am also guilty of not using my machine often enough - you may notice that it's been several months since my little one messed up the bobbin tension, hee hee ... tb

we are so blessed to even have sewing machines...I know I have not used mine often enough in the past couple years but I a new reason to sew. My daughter has a 9 month old baby girl and we went shopping to look for a few nice patterns to start making her clothes so the dresses will be long enough, the neck lines high enough... now I need to start pinning and cutting and actually make the clothes. I need some new dresses as well and then Chrsitmas is coming. I have doll clothes to make and I want to make pajamas for my whole family. We recently lost almost all we owned but we left carrying that sewing machine and our bibles.
