Dear Sisters, I am starting a thread that will give us a place to post links to pattern sites. We went shopping yetserday and I could not believe what the patterns for little girls are like. I am glad to have found some places on the web that sell pretty little girls patterns. Alot of these sites also have patterns for us big girls also. www.commonsensepatterns.com/

Sister Michelle, Another good site is www.finite.com/vesselsofmercy (she has some very fair prices on her clothing. I don't wear much but jumpers, and long skirts and some dresses. In the past I did design my own jumper dress pattern, it is simple, nothing fancy that is for sure and very easy to sew...It has no zipper or buttons, so I can cut and sew one in about an hour's time.... I have a lot of sites for modest patterns and clothing and will get those posted soon. God bless Sister Penny

Dear Sister Penny, I can not find the site. The link is not working. If you could help me out I would appreciate it so much. Also looking forward to you posting the other links. I am always looking for good patterns.

Dear Sisters, Here is another modest pattern site: www.thekingsdaughters.comI tired of putting several patterns together to make modest clothing so I just purchased a few of these patterns. They are more expensive than store-bought, but they are worth it. The patterns are printed on medium-weight paper so they should last longer than the tissue paper type. Debbie

Dear Sisters, I am sorry if that link was not working..I just went and GOT the actual note paper I keep all of my notes on about plain dress, soapmaking, and I will confess, I am the preverbial note taker and keeper..here are a list of links. www.prayercoverings.com, www.hausmutti.com, wwww.candleonthehill.net, www.pricelesswoman.com, www.quakerjane.com, www.plainlydressed.com, www.sweetmariesmodestdress.com, home.mindspring.com/~angeliakay/id2.html (that is Shepherd's Hill, she has instructions for plain dresses and apron, coverings, etc.. www.finitesite.com/vesselsofmercy (if that doesn't work, do a google search on "Vessels of Mercy" she is in Oregon. Enjoy!! God bless Sister Penny

Another note.. I always recopy the tissue patterns onto thicker paper, you can buy rolls of unprinted newsprint from most local papers, or use the brown paper your grocery sacks come from..both work, the latter is free of course :-)
God bless again. Sister Penny
