I make mine with 100 % cotton. I use a 45 inch width . cut the lenght you want. I use a wide non roll elastic. and gather the skirt at the top. I then try it on. Fit to my waist Put the elastic in I usually put pockets in too. Then I hem . I wear these home made skirts at home mostly I have worn the pretty ones out. Some people ask where I got my skirt. My deaceased Grandmother use to make these for her daughters when they were in school. I learned many things from my grandmother both of them and my Mom. Pinkroses

Pinkroses....you remind me of so many funny experiences I had .....! I used to make all my clothes and when I got pg I'd found some really nice med. weight denim so I made the top and had the pants made (didn't use the knit panel) just added the length and put elastic waistband on them and when I put them on ...the denim was so heavy they sild right off....I did go back and put the knit panel in and they were fine then....still chuckle after 30 yrs.!!!!
