Dear Sisters, I thought this would be a great resource. It is a free book that I have had for five years. I recommend it to all of my friends and I believe that every young lady should get a copy when she turns 12. The title is Vintage Homekeeping for the 20th Century Christian Woman. The address is 1539 Montclair Dr Modesto, CA 95350
It is a free book the author state. Although no accusation is intended toward others, it is our conviction that the Bible teaches, by example and precedent, that we are to give the Word of God and His teachings just as we have received them-free of monetary charge. (Acts 18:3. I Cor. 4:11-12 & 9:18)
This is a great book to have on hand. It covers alot of ground and is so practical.

Thank you, Sister! I will request one each for my DD's, and we have no problem sending an offering. We agree with you about freely ye have received, freely give (Matt 10:8; plus the ones you stated above). Our prison ministry literature (esp. provided to inmates, but we also have a 'civilian' readership) is designed this way, also. God always provides when we do things His way.

Ohh, this sounds great! Wouldn't it be good to include with a bridal shower gift. I, too, appreciate when Christians share freely with each other. I have a friend whose daughter publishes a very conservative girl's newsletter aimed for young teens. She offers it free of charge and states that she will continue to print as long as funds are available to do so. Her mom also includes a page for mothers. If any one is interested here is the address. I'm sure she would appreciate a small donation if you are able.

Karen Johnson is the author, not sure about the publisher. I do not own a copy (though now I would like to!), but found her name through a brief search on Google. Found: heart4myhome.blogspot.com/2007/11/i-need-your-help-please.htmlI doubt I will get a response (as others from here and apparently other sites as well) but I am going to write for a copy.

Sister Michelle, I sent a letter off today. I do not expect to hear anything back from the lady (she could have moved or any number of issues!), but I included my email address, just in case. If I don't hear back from her in the next month or so, I was wondering if you or a friend of yours has a scanner. It may be easier and cheaper, for you, if you could send a big file of the scanned book to each lady that wants it. Even if you did that and saved yourself money, I still wouldn't mind sending you a donation to go towards your time in the matter! Is that something you could do, to save yourself money, or is it not very plausible? I am very excited about the book, regardless of the method in which I receive it! It sounds delightful, and like a very good wedding present as well!
