One of my very favorite books is A Wife's Purpose by Cindy Schapp, I think you can get it online from Sword of the Lord. I'll just say that I wasn't raised in a Christian home, my parents were wonderful and have since accepted Jesus, thanks be to God! Anyway, I wasn't taught about things like submission or to be a keeper at home. The Lord saved me when I was 20 years old but all of this knowledge isn't just poured into you when you are saved. I was given this book by a good friend and my comment to her was "do you have anything for husbands?" I was under the impression that my dh was somehow failing me because he couldn't make me happy. That is just one of the many concepts that I learned from this book, my happiness doesn't come from another living soul, it comes from my close walk with the Lord. This may be elementary to some of you but not being taught submission from childhood made it hard to swallow as a 30 year old wife and mother of 2. The Lord has completely changed my heart and I now teach young ladies in our church, it is amazing though at the grandmothers and elder ladies who refuse to accept it, even though it's written in black and white and red. Anyhow, enough about that, I could talk all day on that subject, I just believe it, I see it in my home and my life, and I know it's right. A wife's Purpose has all KJV scripture, that's highly important to me, I would never recommend anything else! Blessings!

I enjoyed that book also. It is very good on our attitude. I wish she would stress more highly the value of being a keeper at home.
