I love having chickens! Unfortunately, the predation at our house is very severe. We are thinking about moving soon and so I am waiting to get more.
I was wondering if any of you have tried guineas? They are very fragile as keets (babies) but pretty self-sufficient as adults. They love to eat up all the ticks! You can eat them, too. They do lay edible eggs but they tend to lay out in the yard in hidden spots so they are hard to find. I just wanted to throw that out there in case any of you chicken lovers haven't had guineas yet. You can raise them right along with chicks!
