Last weekend we went to the lake to celebrate Memorial Day (we were actually at the lake when my husband received the phone call regarding his grandmother's passing), anyhow, early in the day the children wanted me to swim with them in the swim area and so I did for a while. Then they wanted to jump off the floating pier out near the edge of the swim area, so out we went. We decided it was time to head back to shore when some rowdy teenagers began horse-playing and wouldn't stop even when asked. I got up to get back in the water and wouldn't ya know it, I got shoved by one of the horse-playing teenagers (the teenagers were not part of our group). Unfortunately, I was about 2 - 3 feet from the edge of the pier. My back side landed on the very edge of the pier before I went into the water. Today, it was confirmed that I have a fractured tail bone. It is VERY painful. There is nothing the doctors can do for it except prescribe pain medication and wait for it to heal on it's own. Please join me in prayer that I will heal up very quickly. My husband has been called out of town for work and I'll be left alone in a great amount of pain to handle everything ...
Thank you all so very much ... tb

Oh dear TB that is horrible! I will certainly keep you in prayer for a super anointed recovery time. That is so irritating that innocent people were hurt because those hoodlums couldn't control themselves. Boy if I were their parent they would never have acted like that.

Well, the kids stopped all the horse playing (without being told by anyone) as soon as the "old" lady got hurt. But you know, I just seem to be one of those people who always seems to end up being the one who gets hurt OR I become the punch-line of all the jokes. (hee, hee) I am so thankful that the accident didn't involve one of our group's children - they were all under the age of 10 or that it was any worse than it was - I could have banged my head instead of my backside. I say an abundant thank yous for your prayers. tb

Lana it is so nice of you to think of me.
I am beginning to improve significantly. I can stand up and sit down without experiencing pain. However, I still have to sit on either the left or right side of my hips - I can not sit "square" or up straight.
I hope to be fully recovered within the next week or two.
Thank you for your continued prayers ... tb

You poor thing. I know what recovery is like and I'm sure you are about tired of it. Just think of it as time to read! You're in my prayers.

Well, you know how I was feeling some burn out with home schooling? Between the funeral and this accident, I've been forced to slow down a bit as I just haven't been as spry as usual. I think I am experiencing a dual recovery - one from the broken tail bone and one from home schooling burn out.
I am recovering well and I sure do appreciate all y'alls prayers.
Thank you, tb

Thanks so much for the prayers ... I'm just about all healed up. I actually don't have any pain unless is sit in just the right position or sit on a hard surface for an extended period of time.
Thanks again ... tb
