Dewey will be heading off the end of this month to start a new project in SW Arkansas. It's a 12-18 month project (building a new hospital) and, well, the children and I are not going to relocate.
We have prayed deeply over this since the idea came up, and truly, we have peace with our decision. It isn't that we enjoy the idea of being separated, but this job, with the company paying all of his needs while there, will afford us the chance to get completely out of debt within the duration of the job. We truly feel The Lord wants us to be living a debt-free life, and it's only been through our own stupidity that we have 2 loans out currently. We plan to pay them off totally with this job. They pay increase will allow that to happen.
So, the children and I will tend the homestead while Dewey is down there working to provide for our needs. It's a 6 hour drive, so very do-able to visit as often as we like. And his company will provide the monies for visits as well.
Our decision has come with many gasps of disbelief and more than a few eyebrows raising over being separated. Our eldest son will be along with Dad working as well -- that will make it a bit easier on Dewey having some family around. We have prayed over this and do feel it is The Lord's direction for us at this time.
We would appreciate prayers for the safety and peace of each of us, as well as the strength and safety in our being alone here on our mountain during this time. The children are sad to see Dad go, but are planning an 'adventure' here with our being like pioneers We plan to pay 2 full payments to both loans monthly, as our living needs are minimal with just us.
Blessings,
Deanna
