Dear sisters, I need prayer for my aunt Sarah and little cousin Drew. They were in a horrible accident yesterday. I think she may have had a seizure causing their vehicle to go over a guard rail. Both were thrown from the car and it landed on little Drew. He's 3 yrs old. They're both in ICU units in Vanderbilt Hospital. They don't expect Drew to make it, he's pretty messed up and on a breathing machine right now. They're not giving the family any hope for his survival and Aunt Sarah has many many injuries and are trying to decide what surgeries are more important for her right now, but she's expected to pull through. can't imagine what she's feeling right now, she just recently found out about her son's condition. I am praying for miracles, and I know God can deliver. I'm hoping to see them this afternoon. Thank you in advance sisters.

Praying that God suround your Aunt Sarah with those that will speak His words and to bring the comfort and spiritual discernment that only He can bring.

I am so sorry to hear about this! How awful. Praying for the family, and for the dr's to have wisdom in their treatments.

Thank you ladies. Drew left us last night, his little body was just too damaged. Now I'm hoping he's playing on golden streets. Aunt Sarah has been kept pretty sedated, she was hysterical and they were afraid she might hurt herself. They're going to begin surgery on her this morning to wire her mouth shut so it can heal. She has so many broken bones but they're hoping her cheek and eye socket won't have to worked on, right now it looks like it's going to go back by itself and they think her liver and spleen will be okay. The fewer operations, the better. Little victories right now. I did get to see her and Jamie and I prayed over her. My grandmother said her nurses and doctors have been wonderful, Vanderbilt is a wonderful hospital, so I know she's in good hands, along with the Father's Hands. Thank you for your prayers.

Yes, little Drew is playing on streets of gold and will never cry another tear or suffer from another boo boo.
Praying for yours and your families peace and comfort as I know only God can provide. Praying for your Aunt as I know her heart is now more broken than her body.

Oh MrsHester, I did not see this until now. I am so sorry for your family's loss of Drew. I am praying for continued strength, peace and full recovery for your Aunt Sarah. Oh my sweet lady, I wish I could be there for you. To help in anyway I can. May the Holy Spirit comfort and guide all of you through this season of life. If I can do anything, anything...please let me know.

Mrshester, so sorry about Drew.. to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, though. He doesn't feel any pain now, that is for sure, though it doesn't, and shouldn't stop us from grieving. Praying for Aunt Sarah... I am sure the mourning process is compounded many times over for her with her physical condition. What a terrible situation.

Just wanted to share an update. They had Drew's funeral today, though I wasn't able to attend. They have performed surgery on Aunt Sarah's jaw, put in plate, wired her mouth shut and put braces on her teeth. They're saying it's very likely she won't have to have any more surgeries, her other bones appear to be fixing themselves and she's been moved from trauma to rehab. She's been badly broken up, but hoping that if all goes well with rehab, she may be able to go home in a couple weeks. But I know that will bring her many more trials with being home. But things could be so much worse, and I have faith that Drew is with the Lord, and has met his Papa Gus who left us a few years ago with cancer. God is good in so many ways.
