Good Sunday morning to all of you. I hope you don't find this until a later time, but I have some time before I leave for our worship service and thought I'd use it to introduce myself.
I'm probably quite a bit older than most of you (a great gramma) and I met the Lord 56 year ago. I spent years figuring out that when I accepted the Lord I couldn't walk the fence of being a Christian and yet not looking like one to others around me. Praise God, I may be a slow learner, but I did learn. Now I am happy in my walk with Jesus and look forward to drawing ever closer.
I'm about to start working with a ministry that tries to encourage prisoners to come to Christ and teach them about the special love he has that allowed him to die for my sin. Oh what an opportunity God is giving me. Yet though I've never spen a day locked up in jail or prisoner, I was a prisoner of my own making design. Praise God, he never gave up on me and now I have such joy and peace that I've been told that I "live in my own little world". But oh what joy there is living in the world of forgivness and being able to share Jesus Christ and all he has done for me (and for you too if you will accept him).
I'm definately looking forward to getting acquainted and sharing some time with the ladies here, but my first commitment is to the Lord of my life. As an older woman who is now without a husband, scripture says I am to teach what I've learned to younger women, so I pray that I can share some good things with you while we wait for the coming of our Blessed Redeemer.
