The sermon last Sunday was on not being overcome with evil when someone wrongs you. We have had this tested because my husband's extension ladder was stolen right off our property and we can't afford to get a new one. It would be so easy to wish evil on the person or persons who did it but of course that is wrong. I really don't understand how someone could steal a ladder without people in the neighborhood getting suspicious. We are putting a fence on our property now. We had people come onto our property and were stealing apricots off our tree. Now that's bold! One time our neighbor caught a man stealing the fruit off the tree and she made him put the bag of fruit he stole by our front door. I thought someone blessed us with a bag of apricots not knowing we had an apricot tree. I found out later that it was apricots from our tree. Anyway we both have forgiven the offender and who knows? Maybe it will mysteriously return before our new fence goes up.

That is so hard to handle. I am sorry you are going through this. But I will say, I needed to hear this today. I am struggling with repaying evil for good this week!! and failing
