Pro 31:13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. One of the fisrt things I noticed about this verse is the word seeketh, Strong defines it as Seeketh, She seeks with care, can also be used as asking in prayer. How many times do we as ladies feel that God is to busy to be bothered with our problems. I know I feel that way all the time. Does God really want to hear from me again when all I do is ask for simple needs? One thing that hit me this past year as my DH and I under went alot of trials. (We were voted out of our church, I will post our testimony later) was what God has Promised to provide. 1Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content I was hoping for a verse that I could claim for a home for our family and when I looked up contentment I came up with this. But what a great promice from God. He will provide for our needs. He has promised food and clothing. I need to go to the Lord and claim this promise from Him. I need to seek my Father’s face and let Him know of our needs. Do we look to God to fulfill our needs our do we try to figure them out ourselves. Oh, what time we waste by running around trying to find a solution for our problems when all we have to do is get on our knees and claim the promises in God’s word. We need to seek for our solution in God.
The other thing I noticed is she worked with delight. Once again I went to Strong’s and this is what I came up with.
1) delight, pleasure 1a) delight 1b) desire, longing 1c) the good pleasure 1d) that in which one takes delight
Do I long to get into this day’s work. I pray that I would. Oh, how much easier my day would go if I looked at my tasks as a delight, rather than a burden. So many times we as stay at home moms are looked down upon becouase we do not “work”. I used to baby sit for a working mother and she was complaining to me because some body interupted her break at work and she did not get her full half hour. I cried to my husband and said I did not even have a chance to go to the bathroom until all of the children were gone. And yet would I really trade watching my babies learn to walk so that I could get a break. We are so deluded by the world to look down upon ourselves because we are “only” a stay at home mom. Let us look at our work as a delight. What great power we have to influence the next generation. It has been said, “The hand the rocks the cradle rules the world” That is so true. Let us get up each morning and look at our jobs as a delight. 1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. know that what we do is for the Glory of God.

Yesterday we looked at the meaning of this verse. today I will try to give practical applications for us.
1. Ask God to change the way you look at work. If we get up each morning knowing that this is God's will for us as wives and mother's our outlook will be brighter.
2. Pray- our days should be bathed in prayer. Only then will we have God's power on our live.
3. Sing- Our children love to sing and it seems to make the work go faster. We play an alphabet game while we sing. Start with A and pick a Hymn that starts with A (And can it be.) Sing it and then move on to B (Blesses Assurance). Sing till you get to Z. It makes a fun game and it is always interesting to see what the children come up with.
4. Put on good Godly music. We have some CD's that are peppy and they do help make the time fly while we are cleaning. My Boy's favorite is I Feel Like Traveling On. They are also learning to sing as they listen to the music.
I hope this helps as we look forward to work willingly with our hands
