Just went to TSC and ordered 10 Easter Egg Layers, 5 Silver Wyandottes, 5 some kinda white chickens... and 5 some kind of other chickens.... lol. All Pullets. While we were there my girls took a shine to some baby ducks... so we got two of those as well. They're so cute and fuzzy and yellow. We currently have 4 hens and 3 roosters, all full grown. None of them are laying... especially the roosters... useless things... Lol.

I had a chicken when I was 14 before my parents left the farm, and have always wondered if it was a Wyandotte. She was very pretty. There is a pretty background on pccgraphics website that reminds me of her. Lol about the roosters. I was considering ducks, if we move to the new house, as I read about them in A Slice of Organic Life, which really is just what we all like to do. It is about animals and gardening and things by Sheherazade Goldsmith. It also explained how much room you need for pigs. www.amazon.com/Slice-Organic-Life-Alice-Waters/dp/0756628733I particularly loved the baby food recipes.
