What is varineky?
Tonight we're having pork chops (hopefully grilled), potato salad and I think collard greens.

Varineky is a cottage cheese (or ricotta cheese) filled dumpling. The recipe is originally from Russia. I found the recipe in a Mennonite cookbook. It is very economical and it is one my family really enjoys. The dumplings can be filled with many other ingredients. Here's a link to the recipe I posted on my blog awhile back: herpeculiarlife.blogspot.com/2008/08/vareniky-fried-cabbage-cornbread.htmltb

Sounds very yummy! We ended up not having the pork chops last night. It was too hot to cook I had a big salad and my DH had a hoagie. Tonight we're having the potato salad, but this time with cheeseburgers

DH told me not to cook tonight, and brought home fresh bagels and sandwich meat. Mmm... nice treat!

We're having tacos tonight. I'm almost out of taco sauce, glad that it's just about time to make more.

Roast with potatoes and veggies, slightly overdone because I was nursing the baby. Blah. Oh, well. DH didn't seem to think anything was amiss, though Caleb threw up at the table. Toddler boys make for such pleasant meals, ha ha.

That sounds good. I fear with all my other activities today, it will be frozen pizza for us tonight! (Although if I can get the clutter gone, I think DH would gladly order Chinese, lol!)

Saturday I did a pork shoulder in the crock pot.
Sunday was actually cool enough to have pasta, so we had rigatoni with a quick tomato sauce.
Tonight I'm expecting company to plan my sister's baby shower at 6:30, so we're grabbing pizza. I should add that we eat pizza a lot on Mondays and Tuesdays because a large one topping is $7.50.

Crock pot sounds good. Maybe I should use mine today. It's kind of cold and foggy here... a good day for crock pot cooking. In the summer my meals depend heavily on the weather. There are some days that turning on the oven is a no-no, lol.
