Tonight I plan to serve homemade fish sticks, buttered mashed potatoes, peas & carrots.
2 tips for CRISPY homemade fish sticks: 1. my breading station includes - dish 1: flour, dish 2: egg wash, dish 3: Panko breading. 2. After frying fish I "drain" the fried pieces on a wire rack. Paper towels & bags allow steam to accumilate on the underside causing soggy fried fish.

"Forbidden chicken" doesn't sound all that traditional, tee hee! But it does sound very good!

Since we have an evening appointment, tonight is all about the slow cooker. In my large slow cooker I'm preparing onion & mushroom venison steak. In my tripple crock slow cooker I'm preparing baby carrots, country greenbeans and corn. What's cookin' in your kitchen? tb

We will be out from 4-7:30 this evening - during the prep and supper hour. Therefore, I've already placed potatoes in the crock pot & will prep a salad this afternoon.
To bake potatoes in the crock pot:
1. scrub potatoes and prick with fork, pat dry 2. rub with butter and salt (optional), wrap in foil 3. place in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours OR high 3-4 hours (these times are dependent on size of potatoes) 4. unwrap and serve with toppings of your choice
