Since we have a baseball game this evening ... I will keep some venison stew hot in the crock pot until we return home, served with a side of garlic bread. tb

That sounds amazing. We're having a perfect crock pot day. Damp and rainy! The weather was unusually hot and sunny over the long weekend, though, so I'm sure the trees and things are rejoicing in the rain!

Chef salads WERE on the menu ... until Mr.B phoned @ 8am notifying me that he was bringing his boss home for supper.
A quick change of plans:
A frozen roast beef placed in the crock pot, sprinkled with salt & pepper, smothered in cream soup (makes a tasty gravy) ; mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and banana cake.

Another softball game is on the calendar this evening. Since we will be gone before he arrives home, I'll leave a chef salad in the fridge for Mr.B

I think we'll have potatoes and pork chops tonight. Lately the question isn't what's for supper, it's will hubby be home for supper? Overtime. Ugh.

Its' been a long day of hard manual labor here on the homestead so we'll enjoy BLT's for our late supper.

It's ridiculously hot. I'm thinking cold cut sandwiches and ice-cold mango smoothies.

YUMM - mango smoothies ...
We'll be at the fairgrounds until suppertime today (4-h & county fair time), so we're planning on hotdogs and potato salad.

DH has been working a lot of overtime this week, so today we get our first NICE beef roast ever. I'm excited, but hope I don't somehow ruin it. That would be tragic.

Tonight we are having Pioneer Woman's chicken spaghetti, a tossed salad (all veggies are from our garden!!), and iced tea.

Autumn has arrived in Montana and our evenings are beginning to have a chill in the air, thus I think this evening's menu will include:
homemade chicken noodle soup (made with wide Amish noodles), salad, cornbread
